Protecting Our Students
In addition to our Crime Stoppers Tip Line, safety presentations are offered to students with an underlining message of good citizenship and keeping themselves safe, parents are presented with tools and tips for keeping their child safe and training is available to school staff and school- based law enforcement officers to assist in keeping students and schools safe.
Human Trafficking
Child victims of trafficking are often exploited for sexual purposes, including prostitution, pornography and sex tourism. They are also exploited for forced labour, including domestic servitude, sweatshop factory work and migrant farming.
Elder Abuse
Together we can help protect our seniors from abuse and help provide the kind of security they deserve. Ernie Sibbett from Crime Stoppers of Niagara introduces a new Elder Abuse program and
requests more funding.
Scam Alerts
Scammers are constantly coming up with new tactics to defraud unsuspecting individuals. It’s
important to remember that scams come in all shapes and sizes, and if something feels off about
a situation, it’s best to end the communication.
Protecting our Environment
The Niagara Region, along with each local municipality, is working together to tackle the issue
of illegal dumping.
DRINK SPIKING
We’re working with the Niagara Sexual Assault Centre to educate the community and hospitality businesses about drink spiking. Participating businesses receive a Drink Safe Certified sticker after attending a free training session. Help us build a safer Niagara
