Welcome to the lion’s den. Since 2015, the Meridian Centre in downtown St. Catharines, Ontario has been home to the Niagara River Lions. With a unique “horseshoe” set up for basketball, every seat allows fans to be as close as possible to the non-stop action. Enjoy one of the many seating options on court level, including VIP tables on the Boldt Realty Bar.
A River Lion is a mythical creature that is featured on the Niagara Region’s Coat of Arms. It represents pride and strength of community, which are two pillars that the Niagara River Lions strive to embody both on and off the court. As the king of the jungle, a lion is powerful, mighty, and courageous. Lions are highly territorial and protective, which is what the River Lions will do as they defend their den in May 2021.
Maybe you overheard someone bragging about having committed a crime. Maybe you know someone who is driving a stolen car… or is hiding from the police… or is a robber or drug dealer. Or maybe you just see something that doesn’t look right. A strange car. A person acting sneaky. Someone carrying a gun or knife or keeping a weapon in their locker. If you aren’t sure that what you saw or heard is really a crime, call anyway. We’ll pass the tip on to our law enforcement partners and they can decide if its worth investigating. It may be a piece of a clue to a major crime.
